Smith+Nephew will showcase its newest sports medicine products for joint repair and arthroscopic enabling tech at this week’s American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) meeting. The following technologies will be featured.
Fast-Fix Flex meniscal repair system: a surgeon-guided, bendable needle and shaft for access to all meniscus zones.
Intellio connected tower: a centralized app to wirelessly connect and control major arthroscopy surgical tower components from outside the sterile field.
Werewolf FastSeal 6.0 hemostasis wand: a hemostatic sealing (i.e., coagulation) device for open orthopedic procedures.
Regeneten bioinductive implant: a postage stamp-sized, tendon-like implant for rotator cuff, gluteus medius, and Achilles tendon repair.
Cap-Fix suture passer: a direct style passer for suture passage and retrieval through the hip capsule to facilitate capsular closure.
