Xenco Medical has expanded its Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) surgical device business through U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance and launch of its Multilevel CerviKit suite of implants and single-use instruments for 2, 3, and 4 level anterior cervical spine procedures.
Multilevel CerviKit’s plating options feature a thin profile, intuitive locking mechanism, and dual textured surface. The surgical platform is sterile-packed and designed to boost intraoperative efficiency. Matched with a disposable delivery instrument and corresponding single-use instruments to complement Xenco’s portfolio of single-use spinal systems.
The reinforced, composite polymer instruments assist both consistent mechanical performance and elimination of costs associated with autoclaving. The Multlevel CerviKit aims to strengthen an ASC’s ability to overcome sterilization bottlenecks.
“As COVID-19 spurred increased demand for sterile-packaged, single-use spinal platforms and accelerated growth in the volume of outpatient cervical spine procedures, we have bolstered our commitment to expanding access to safer, streamlined surgical procedures through the launch of our single-use Multilevel CerviKit,” Xenco Medical founder and CEO Jason Haider told the press.
Xenco’s single-use spinal implant systems are compatible with the company’s intelligent surgical vending machines and can be trained on using the company’s glasses-free holographic surgical simulation.
