New products, new leaders, and new corporate configurations were the favored news topics this week on the ODT website.
SURE Retractors Inc. showcased its new single-use Cervical and Mini-open Retractor at Becker’s Healthcare’s Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference, which took place in Chicago, while ZimVie Inc. debuted its first products, jointly launching the new, U.S. Food and Drug Administration-cleared T3 PRO Tapered Implant and Encode Emergence Healing Abutment in the United States. The T3 PRO is the newest addition to ZimVie’s family of dental implants and builds on the solutions of the T3 Tapered Implant. The Encode Emergence Healing Abutment builds upon ZimVie’s three-in-one Encode Impression System which provides clear intraoral scans and aesthetics, and is designed for patient comfort and healing.
CONMED Corporation and Stimwave drove site traffic with their structural facelifts. CONMED completed its purchase of privately-held In2Bones Global Inc. while Stimwave decided to sell its business to Kennedy Lewis Management LP. Stimwave has been restructuring its team and business operations since 2020. The $40 million commitment Stimwave received from Kennedy Lewis in debtor-in-possession financing will allow the company to operate its business without interruption and continue to expand.
MicroTransponder captured page views as well with finance-related news. The company closed oversubscribed $53 Series E funding, which will be used to commercialize its Vivistim Paired VNS system and establish it as the recommended rehab for stroke survivors aiming to improve hand and arm mobility. MicroTransponder also appointed medtech exec Richard Foust as its new CEO and director.
