Partnerships and products drove the bulk of ODT website traffic this past week.
Treace Medical generated the most page views by fully launching three new technologies, all of which were previewed at this year’s American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) Annual Scientific Conference. The new innovations included:
Zimmer Biomet and HSS teamed up to create the HSS/Zimmer Biomet Innovation Center for Artifical Intelligence (AI) in Joint Replacement. The collaboration aims to develop new support decision tools powered by data collection and machine learning for data-driven recommendations that can be given to surgeons for robotic-assisted joint surgery.
Conformis's multi-year deal with Vizient allows interested members—academic medical centers, acute care facilities, and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs)—to buy Conformis knee and hip replacement solutions, including the company’s new Image-to-Implant Platinum Service program.
Finally, Promimic AB and Danco Medical, a Lincotek Group Company, formed a joint venture focused on the processing of HAnano Surface for medical implants in the U.S. market. The new company will be called Nano Processing Inc. (NPI) and will ramp up the use of the unique HAnano Surface technology, which improves osseointegration of orthopedic and dental implants.

- Lapiplasty 3-n-1 Cut Guide, an advanced instrument developed to boost Lapiplasty 3D Bunion Correction speed and reproducibility. The guide combines three instruments in one precision tool.
- Lapiplasty S4A Anatomic Plating Kit, a next-generation Lapiplasty titanium fixation tool that gives foot and ankle surgeons an additional fixation option when performing Lapiplasty 3D Bunion Correction. The sterile-packaged titanium S4A anatomic plates have a 3D contour to accommodate anatomic variabilities based on studies of the tasrometatarsal joint.
- SpeedRelease and TriTome Release Instruments, which provide more accurate and complete key soft tissue anatomy surgical release involved in Lapiplasty and Adductoplasty procedures.
