Spineology Inc. is changing up its executive management team a bit.
The company has promoted Matt Cronin to chief commercial officer; he leads a commercial team of sales, marketing and medical education that drives Spineology's commercial strategy. “I am honored for the opportunity to lead Spineology’s commercial team,” said Cronin. “We have a formidable team, with Jon’s expertise in building marketing organizations and strategies coupled with the extensive product and procedural knowledge of Dan McPhillips, our VP of Medical Education and Medical Affairs. We are poised to capitalize on our recent FDA De Novo Grant for OptiMesh by penetrating the fusion market with our differentiated ultra-minimally invasive product portfolio, providing impactful treatment solutions to our surgeon customers and their patients.”
“Having worked with Matt the last year and a half in his role as senior vice president of Sales, I know his leadership will accelerate the already rapid growth of our proprietary mesh technologies, OptiMesh and Duo Ti interbody fusion implants,” Spineology CEO John Booth said. “Matt’s record of success in positioning medical device companies to achieve sustainable revenue and dynamic growth makes him perfectly suited to direct our commercial strategy while delivering products, services and programs that meet the needs of our customers and their patients.”
Spineology also has appointed Jonathan Arndt as vice president of Marketing. Arndt joins Spineology with 19 years of medical device experience as a top performer in both marketing and sales leadership positions.
“It is an exciting time to be joining Spineology,” Arndt said. “We are focused on transforming the patient and physician experience through our differentiated portfolio. Spineology sits at the intersection of how our physician customers treat their patients and where their patients can be treated.”
Spineology provides anatomy-conserving technologies for surgeons and patients. Its proprietary mesh technology is used in the OptiMesh and Duo implants, which expand in three dimensions to create large footprints and allow placement of anatomy-conforming interbody fusion devices through very small incisions. This technology preserves spinal anatomy, increases procedural efficiency, and accelerates patient recovery.
