Tyber Medical announced the expansion of its Florida facility by 30,000 square feet, effectively doubling the size of its operations there.
The new facility will house new manufacturing technologies, secondary equipment, and additional new technologies. The move is part of Tyber’s $13 million plus capital asset expansion plan over the next two years.
Tyber anticipates an additional 50 jobs to be created over the next two years due to this move.
Ken Lee, VP of manufacturing at Tyber Medical, told the press, "In a highly competitive market, this is positive, incremental growth in pursuit of providing rapid access to portfolio enhancing, regulatory approved, orthopedic implants. This expansion is good for Tyber Medical's employees' career development, its key stakeholders, and of course its growing customer base."
Thanks to the expansion, Tyber can support progressively larger product launches as the company continues heavy expansion into plating and screw technology.
Tyber gained FDA clearance to expand its anatomical plate portfolio and a further clearance for MR conditional labeling earlier this year.
