Integrated Endoscopy, a company pioneering cordless 4K, low-cost, single-use endoscopes for arthroscopic surgery, has released two new versions of its flagship NUVIS single-use arthroscope.
The new offerings make the tech available to surgeons using a variety of arthroscopic surgical platforms. According to the company, the news make NUVIS the only 4K, cordless arthroscope that’s universally compatible with the vast majority of cannulas on the market.
“Being able to offer surgeons the flexibility of three versions of NUVIS provides yet another reason why NUVIS will become the standard of care, and is a significant milestone for our company,” Brad Sharp, Integrated Endoscopy’s CEO told the press. “With NUVIS, we are able to eliminate operating room downtime associated with scopes coming back late, damaged or that get dropped during the case. For surgeons, NUVIS also provides outstanding image quality case after case, whereas metal scopes degrade rapidly with use.”
Integrated Endoscopy’s NUVIS single-use, 4K, cordless arthroscope is FDA 510(k) cleared, CE marked, and is registered in a number of global markets. As manufacturing capacity increases, the company said it will continue to expand its global distribution network to provide this technology to the arthroscopic surgical community.
The second-generation NUVIS single-use arthroscope was launched in November 2022.
