Enovis has launched the Intelect Legend 2 and Intelect Transport 2 electrotherapy devices. They are the latest addition to the company’s Chattanooga portfolio and will be showcased at this year’s American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting.
Electrotherapy is a therapy that helps to alleviate pain, prevent disease atrophy, and boost local blood circulation.
The company said Legend 2 and Transport 2 were engineered with the mindset of clinical efficacy and ease of use. They’re both powered by a proprietary VMS waveform with alternating frequency pattern that allows for greater muscle contractions, less discomfort, and less neural fatigue.
Legend 2 allows users to set up a treatment by choosing an indication instead of a technical waveform to help therapists determine effective treatment. Commonly used protocols can be saved and added as a shortcut.
In addition to being lightweight, portable, and durable, Transport 2 has a battery powered option to allow treatment in any environment. It has new ultrasound applicators with improved coupling detection and monitoring to ensure correct energy delivery.
“Electrotherapy has been a standard of care in professional healthcare environments around the country for 75 years. As a leader in this space, Enovis Recovery Sciences is committed to providing innovative, high-quality, and safe products to meet the needs of our customers,” said Enovis Recovery Sciences president Guy Guglielmino. “Legend 2 and Transport 2 were designed to provide a better experience for patients, more intuitive and accurate treatment options for clinicians and a greater ROI for clinics.”
The company recently exhibited its latest foot and ankle technologies at the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) annual meeting last week.
